RailClone Update: New Iron & Wooden Railing Libraries + Key Improvements RailClone Update: New Iron & Wooden Railing Libraries + Key Improvements

RailClone just got even better! Last July, Itoosoft expanded the RailClone Systems collection with two brand-new parametric railing libraries, Iron Railings and Wooden Railings. Each library comes with twelve fully parametric, ready-to-use systems designed to make your 3D projects faster, easier, and more customizable than ever.

New Railing Libraries: Creativity Without the Complexity

Whether you’re visualizing sleek exterior balconies or charming indoor staircases, these new railings are built to save time without sacrificing creative control.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Fully Parametric Control: Adjust top, mid, and bottom rail positions with ease.
  • Flexible Dimensions: Modify post spacing, height, and other key elements in seconds.
  • Spline Deformation Support: Apply deformation to match inclined splines for staircases, ramps, and uneven terrain.
  • No Graph Setup Required: Simply load a style from the RailClone Library Browser, tweak the parameters, and you’re ready to go.

The goal is simple: get professional, production-ready results without needing to dive into complex Style Editor setups.

More to Come: RailClone’s Evolving Systems

These new railing systems are just the start. Itoosoft is already working on:

  • Updated Glass Railings
  • A bigger and better Mouldings collection for interior designers
  • All-new Parametric Folding Shades
  • And much more, based on community feedback

If you have ideas to improve your workflow, Itoosoft welcomes suggestions directly from users.

Recent RailClone Improvements Since Version 7

Alongside the new libraries, RailClone has received several stability, compatibility, and usability updates:

  • Resizable Selector Dialogs: Easier segment and path selection.
  • Offset Operator Upgrade: Now uses spline’s own coordinate system for better handling of rotated splines.
  • Better Edge Detection: Especially for Surface and Spline Areas with coincident edges.
  • Scaling Fixes: More consistent behavior in the Windows library and the new Portable library format.
  • Rendering Compatibility: Enhanced integration with Arnold and V-Ray 6 for 3ds Max 2026.
  • Instancing & Modifier Fixes: Smoother workflow and fewer technical hiccups.
