Motion Media enters into Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) agreements with some suppliers. According to these agreements, which vary in details from vendor to vendor, the retailer can sell an item for any price, but may not advertise the item for an amount less than the Minimum Advertised Price which is set by the supplier. Retailers agree to MAP contracts because the vendor makes it worthwhile for them to do so. A retailer who abides by the agreement can count on getting first news and early shipments of new products, and generally enjoys a favored status. At Motion Media, while we abide by our MAP agreements, our lowest selling price is always what you pay.
Errors in Pricing
Motion Media is not liable for pricing errors. If you place an order for a product that was incorrectly priced, we will cancel your order and credit you for any charges. In the event that we inadvertently ship an order based on a pricing error, we will issue a revised invoice to you for the correct price and contact you to obtain your authorization for the additional charge, or assist you with return of the product. If the pricing error results in an overcharge to you, Motion Media will credit your account for the amount overcharged.
You will find three different types of pricing options on our website, the price showing, a "Get Quote" and an "Email me a Better Price" and, "Add to Cart for a Better Price" option.
Get Quote:
The Get Quote option is an easy way for us to get you an accurate price in the most efficient way. The reason we do not show certain prices is because we can get you a much better price than the MAP or SRP and we have found that this is the best way to deliver it. Motion Media is one of the few select resellers designated by Autodesk as a Gold Partner, and are value-added resellers for hundreds of other manufacturers such as AJA, Adobe and Matrox. In other words, we actually know about the products that we sell unlike many of our online competitors. We are dedicated to providing high levels of service at a competitive, fair price.
Email me a Better Price:
The email me a better price option is similar to the Get Quote option in that we cannot advertise our actual price because of vendor policies. When you click email me a better price, you will be asked to enter your email address and soon after you will receive the better price. The link in the email will take you to the cart where you can purchase that product at the lower price.
Add to Cart for a Better Price:
This option is very similar to the email a better price option except all you have to do is add the product to the cart to see the lower price. You can then purchase that product at the low price directly from there or continue shopping.
