ATTO XstreamCORE 8100T is a simple, purpose built, and cost effective intelligent bridging solution designed to extend SAS tape drive connectivity beyond the rack. As IT environments grow more distributed across data centers, campuses, and edge computing locations, backup and archive workflows increasingly need secure shared access to tape storage over Ethernet. XstreamCORE 8100T addresses this challenge by delivering 10Gb Ethernet iSCSI connectivity to SAS tape drives and libraries, enabling centralized control for backup and archive platforms without the complexity of traditional tape networking.
Designed specifically for data protection and long term retention, XstreamCORE 8100T allows businesses and enterprises to deploy secured and shared access to tape storage over a 10Gb Ethernet iSCSI network. Powered by a custom chipset and ATTO engineered software, it supports up to eight iSCSI host logins while connecting up to four SAS tape drives through a single x4 12Gb mini SAS HD connector. With an aggregate throughput of up to 2000 MBps, the bridge maximizes tape drive shareability while adding minimal latency.
A major differentiator is ATTO Distributed Software Architecture (ADSA), a self optimizing real time operating system built for embedded hardware. ADSA enables multi tasking and intelligent I O processing, translating protocols while integrating advanced protocol handling, error handling, and application requirements into existing infrastructures. ATTO Advanced Data Streaming provides controlled acceleration for smooth data streaming, while proprietary SpeedWrite and SpeedRead technology enhances tape performance over iSCSI.
XstreamCORE 8100T also delivers practical management and security features for enterprise deployments. A dedicated Ethernet management port supports secure CLI over SSH and file transfer over SFTP, along with a user friendly web based GUI for configuration, diagnostics, and monitoring. Built in access control and CHAP authentication help ensure secured access to tape devices, while simplified and automatic SAS LUN mapping reduces configuration time and complexity.
For organizations focused on sustainability and infrastructure efficiency, XstreamCORE 8100T provides a low maintenance alternative to Fibre Channel sharing or server based gateway solutions. Each bridge consumes less than 30 Watts, can be embedded in a tape library using standard connections, or installed externally in a compact chassis. Hassle Free Returns
At Motion Media, our goal is to ensure your complete satisfaction with your purchase. If, for whatever reason, you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you may return it to Motion Media within 30 days. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be received within three business days of receipt of merchandise.
Refunds on returned items will be issued in the same payment form as tendered at the time of purchase. If payment was made by credit card, once we receive the product we will credit your account. Please allow 7-10 days for a credit to appear on your credit card statement. If payment was made by check, please allow 10 business days for a refund check to be issued.
Please read all conditions below. If conditions are not met, Motion Media reserves the right to refuse the return or to charge a restocking fee of up to 25%.
How to return or exchange an item:
- In order to return an item you need to first obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
- To request an RMA number, please visit our contact page and send us an email with the request.
- To request an RMA number by phone, call Customer Service at 310-450-4000.
- Place the original package into a shipping carton.
- Include the invoice and the reason for the return. If defective, please specify the defect.
- Please do not place stickers or shipping labels on the original manufacturer's package.
- The RMA number must be clearly written on the outer box. If you received a label in the email, print the label and tape it to the carton.
- Ship via insured ground service with a tracking number. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. We are not responsible for lost or damaged packages.

Rules:
- All returned or exchanged items must be in new condition,
unopened in the original box, and must include all packing material, blank warranty cards, manuals, and all accessories. 15% restocking fee on any opened items. If you are going to return, do not open the box. - 25% restocking fee on LitePanels, Anton Bauer and Sachtler returns.
- Motion Media is not responsible for personal data or items left in returned merchandise.
- Defective items may be repaired or exchanged at our discretion for the same model or manufacturer's equivalent model.
- RMA numbers are valid for 10 days.
- Motion Media is not responsible for any consequential or incidental damage resulting from the sale or use of any merchandise bought from us. We are responsible for the monetary value of the merchandise only.
