The Blackmagic UltraStudio Express Recorder 3G is a pocket sized capture device that brings a single 3G-SDI or HDMI source into a Mac, Windows or Linux computer over a single USB-C cable, built for editors and streamers who need reliable capture without a desktop card or a separate power supply.
The device is entirely bus powered over a USB4 or Thunderbolt 4 port, capturing up to 1080p60 in 10-bit YUV or 12-bit RGB with 16 channels of embedded SDI audio and 8 channels over HDMI. It ships with Media Express, Disk Speed Test and LiveKey, and uses the same DeckLink API as Blackmagic's desktop cards, so it works directly with DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Media Composer and most other professional video software.
