ATTO XstreamCORE ET 8200 and ET 8200T are high performance 40Gb Ethernet to 12Gb SAS intelligent bridges built to extend the reach of storage beyond the rack. These bridges act as external adapters that add a common set of services and features to SSD and HDD based JBOD, JBOF, RAID storage, and SAS tape devices. XstreamCORE then remotely shares this storage over long or short distances using high speed Ethernet technology, allowing organizations to disaggregate storage from servers and independently scale compute and storage.
Traditional server based storage architectures rely on general purpose processors to transfer data, manage storage, and add services and features. As services increase, CPU processing adds latency and reduces real world performance. ATTO XstreamCORE uses a more efficient architecture that separates data traffic from services, removing non data requests from the data path to maintain consistent latency and predictable performance. This design is specifically engineered to provide deterministic latency, making it ideal for environments where throughput consistency matters as much as peak speed.
At the heart of the platform is ATTO xCORE hardware data acceleration. xCORE was developed to handle the majority of I O operations in a hardware processing pipeline without software intervention. It manages I O, command routing and decoding, buffer allocation, reservations, access controls, and real time data analytics. Any exception is off ramped to the ATTO eCORE control engine, which manages commands that do not require acceleration. This architecture enables up to 1.1M 4K IOPS or 6GB per second throughput with iSER per bridge while adding a consistent sub two microseconds of latency.
XstreamCORE ET 8200 and ET 8200T support two 40Gb Ethernet ports and connect to four x4 12Gb HD mini SAS SFF 8644 connectors. They integrate with up to 960 devices per bridge, support drive mapping to one or multiple hosts, and enable shared and remote storage capabilities for automatic failovers over a 30 mile radius. They also support iSER iSCSI extensions for RDMA for deterministic latency over Ethernet, and ATTO hardware accelerated iSCSI for maximum interoperability.
For tape environments, XstreamCORE also adds specialized performance features. ATTO SpeedWrite technology improves SAS tape write performance up to 20 percent, and LTFS support simplifies access to data stored on LTO Ultrium. XstreamCORE adds less than two microseconds of latency while providing advanced management tools, real time monitoring, extensive event logging, and flexible integration options for OEM partners.

Hassle Free Returns
At Motion Media, our goal is to ensure your complete satisfaction with your purchase. If, for whatever reason, you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you may return it to Motion Media within 30 days. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be received within three business days of receipt of merchandise.
Refunds on returned items will be issued in the same payment form as tendered at the time of purchase. If payment was made by credit card, once we receive the product we will credit your account. Please allow 7-10 days for a credit to appear on your credit card statement. If payment was made by check, please allow 10 business days for a refund check to be issued.
Please read all conditions below. If conditions are not met, Motion Media reserves the right to refuse the return or to charge a restocking fee of up to 25%.
How to return or exchange an item:
- In order to return an item you need to first obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
- To request an RMA number, please visit our contact page and send us an email with the request.
- To request an RMA number by phone, call Customer Service at 310-450-4000.
- Place the original package into a shipping carton.
- Include the invoice and the reason for the return. If defective, please specify the defect.
- Please do not place stickers or shipping labels on the original manufacturer's package.
- The RMA number must be clearly written on the outer box. If you received a label in the email, print the label and tape it to the carton.
- Ship via insured ground service with a tracking number. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. We are not responsible for lost or damaged packages.

Rules:
- All returned or exchanged items must be in new condition,
unopened in the original box, and must include all packing material, blank warranty cards, manuals, and all accessories. 15% restocking fee on any opened items. If you are going to return, do not open the box. - 25% restocking fee on LitePanels, Anton Bauer and Sachtler returns.
- Motion Media is not responsible for personal data or items left in returned merchandise.
- Defective items may be repaired or exchanged at our discretion for the same model or manufacturer's equivalent model.
- RMA numbers are valid for 10 days.
- Motion Media is not responsible for any consequential or incidental damage resulting from the sale or use of any merchandise bought from us. We are responsible for the monetary value of the merchandise only.
