ATTO FastFrame SmartNICs deliver fourth-generation Ethernet performance built for the most demanding storage and data center environments. Designed for line speeds up to 100GbE and engineered for industry-low latency as low as 1 microsecond, FastFrame adapters provide a scalable Ethernet foundation from the core of the data center to the edge. Whether you are supporting high-bandwidth IT workloads or performance-sensitive media workflows, FastFrame SmartNICs are built to keep data moving smoothly, efficiently, and reliably.
FastFrame SmartNICs are especially well suited for modern networks that must handle large volumes of unstructured data. These adapters support media and entertainment workflows such as video post-production, finishing, imaging, archiving, and workgroup file sharing. They are also an excellent fit for IT deployments including data analytics, high-performance computing clusters, hyperconverged servers, AI/ML/DL environments, and unstructured data solutions. This makes FastFrame a practical choice for organizations that want a single adapter family capable of supporting diverse workloads across multiple departments.
ATTO engineers FastFrame SmartNICs with end-to-end Quality of Service and congestion control built into the product. This helps reduce network congestion and maintain consistent throughput even in complex ecosystems where large storage transfers can overwhelm less capable adapters. With RDMA over Converged Ethernet support, FastFrame reduces CPU utilization and enables low-latency transfers for Linux and Windows systems. Combined with hardware and software offload engines, these capabilities help accelerate data movement while minimizing CPU overhead.
FastFrame SmartNICs are designed to simplify deployment and ongoing management. ATTO360 Networking provides tuning profiles for performance optimization, including partner-specific storage profiles. ATTOview monitoring analyzes thousands of metrics in real time and point-in-time using a time series database, while an advanced diagnostics engine identifies bottlenecks and offers direct guidance for resolving connection issues. ATTO Ethernet Suite further streamlines setup by loading drivers, ATTO360, and required dependencies in a single package for Windows and Linux.
For high-resolution video workflows, FastFrame SmartNICs address bandwidth limitations that often prevent competing NICs from reliably supporting 8K. By using RoCE to free up the full pipeline, FastFrame provides the bandwidth needed for multiple streams of raw 8K and 4K video. With multiple models supporting Ethernet standards from 10GbE to 100GbE and connector options including SFP+, RJ45, SFP28, QSFP+, and QSFP28, FastFrame SmartNICs deliver the flexibility and performance required for next-generation Ethernet storage and data transport.
